Nice looking not much different than a model a ford but way more expensive in 31. Hopefully the frame is not made of wood like old Buicks

There are a couple of true survivor wood frame cars - plenty of Franklins still rolling around. It all comes down to whether they were able to stay clean and (not completely) dry. It also depends on the finish and type of wood, of course.

I remember a complete original wood frame chassis for I think it was a Buick at a swap meet not to long ago. Guy wanted way too much and it was in sad shape. Just a neat novelty to have I guess to show what they used to do. I wouldn't trust the wood for much other than slowly entering a show field. I bet it would creek an moan as it tried to flex

Managed to find out from the Wikipedia article that the Franklins used ash, like Morgan does. "Durability to ground contact" of ash, also per wiki, is five years, meaning it's like redwood in being able to last a long time only if it doesn't *stay* moist. Hickory is apparently the wood of choice for wheels, and I think it and several others are the typical choices for body wood, though there's an Hispano-Suiza that was built from tulip wood:

My grandpa's earliest memory was of them picking one of these up from the dealership, and he couldn't ride in it because he was too dirty. (It was is first car 10 years later.)
